When babies are born they have no idea what nationality they are for quite some time. They don't seem to care all that much either, the insensitive little louts. It is up to us, the grownups, to carefully and patiently teach them who to hate, who to fear, which imagined history to believe, which fairy tale version of deity worship to follow and which murderous tyrant to admire. It's not easy warping little minds, but why should they get away unscarred? We sure didn't. It is our sacred duty as parents to hand down our self-destructive illusions. It is the human way.
